Traveling and packing with kids
I have tried many methods of packing for kids and keeping organized. What seems to work for me is that packing cubes and/or Ziploc bags are your best friend. I used Ziploc bags on our last trip but I have added a link to some awesome packing cubes here. I have two children and I donβt usually unpack the suitcase when we are staying in a hotel or vacation rental unless the clothing item needs to be hanged. I tend to iron most items that need ironing before folding them very neatly. I stack by outfit with socks and underwear…

Simply Salsa
Chips, Salsa, and salsa music were a common theme in my home growing up. We always had a crowd at my parents home multiple times a week. We have a large family from cousins to aunts to uncles to friends that became family. My dad was an AC technician for many years. He would often go to factories for jobs. One particular job led him to a tomato plant. Letβs just say we had a lot of salsa. I mean he was blessed with cases of tomatoes! My mother’s salsa recipe was the inspiration for this simply salsa recipe. You…

A weekday in the life of Sandra π
This is my weekday morning routine. The alarm sounds at 7 a.m. in my world and I hit snooze till 7:15 a.m. The rush of getting ready is usually due to me wanting to squeeze in as many winks as possible. I tell myself daily, βYou wouldnβt have to rush if you just woke up by 7a.m.β I turn the shower onΒ to warm it up, and then stumble to the restroom. With my shower done and the clock ticking, I quickly dry and get my clothes on. Β I quickly moisturize my face, apply very basic 2 minute makeup for my…

Coming out of quarantine!
I asked Alexa, βWhatβs the weather today?β She said, ” 83 degrees with a low of 68 and sunny, Have a great day!” So with that information and no rain, this curly haired girl turned her flat iron on and straightened hair. Sometimes we just need information to move forward in making decisions. With the states recommendations we were going to see our church congregation tonight. With the state’s regulations laid out, churches were all coming out of quarantine. With social distancing in place we navigated through it, and, I must say a new congregation has been birthed. I spoke…

2020 – Walk in the calling youβve received!!
The year 2020 started out seemingly normal. We all did a βchin-chin,β made our resolutions, prayed, and dreamed of the future. My husband, Kodi, always feels that every year brings a new word from God, and it consistently has. A couple years ago he felt God saying that we would experience a lot of change and basically every part of our life changed, from church, to family, close relationships, and having a new baby. The year after that, he felt the Lord saying the words βuncharted territory.β The nature of Kodi and myself is generally peaceful and pretty sensitive. We…
