You get a car, you get a car, everybody is getting a caaarrrrr!!!

These are a few of my favorite things! Remember the song and also the days of the Oprah show when the audience would be surprised with her Favorite Things episode around Christmas time and every audience member watched product reviews went home with every item like a car, Well, these are Sandra’s favorite things! Unfortunately, you won’t be winning a prize today but I wanted to share some items that make life a little bit more joyful for me. Prizes will be a part of our branding in the future for sure.

1. I am a bargain hunter at heart and find that a good deal is just plain old “winning” in my book. I am a fan of good quality over quantity and I despise paying retail for anything. Saying all that, we just paid retail for this new pendant light, haha, but it’s so modern and pretty! I wasn’t so sure when we first installed it if it was what I was looking for in my dining room. The metal was a lot thinner than I would have desired. But sometimes things grow on you and it becomes the perfect fit. We love it!

2. Smelling nice is historically a huge priority in the human race and more so for women. This is especially true when you are dressing up for an occasion. The scent profile from Dolce and Gabbana’s Light Blue fragrance wears well in a casual setting to a sophisticated affair. This is an eau de toilette, but still seems to last. They say that eau de toilettes lasts around two hours but I still smell the fragrance slightly longer. At my age I am looking for a youthful smell but appropriate. I also do not want a scent that ages me beyond my years. Dolce and Gabbana’s Light Blue has a slight citrus scent that is very refreshing. My sister-in-law, who worked at a fragrance counter states that scents can change on you depending on your chemical make up. What works for me may not for you but it is worth a try. If you’d like to give it a try, I’ve linked it here.

3. Now this is a little secret that in the past, I would only share with a few, but now I am going public. It is sometimes hard to find the time to provide what is known as “self care.” I am usually rushing to finish my look when getting ready for church or an evening out. I love having my hair and nails looking on point. The hair usually falls into place but the nails tend to be last priority in this busy life that I lead. AHA! I have found a solution, ImPress Press-on manicure by Kiss! Although it is temporary it does the job, and gives you a put-together look for the weekend or whatever event you need to look presentable for. It’s up to you if you want to have an accent nail, I usually pass. The press-on nails also come in petite if you can find them. The styles and colors range from wild to neutral. The price is around $5.99 to $7.99 depending on where you shop. They are easy to remove and do not damage the nail underneath, if done gently. They can be worn for about 3-4 days before you will want to remove them. The box may say that you can wear them longer but this has been my experience. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do. Try them on here.

4. I shared in my recent podcast (The Good in Life) that I got a new coffee mug for Mothers Day. I absolutely love this cup. I am one to really enjoy a cup of coffee. I can even drink a lot of coffee but I find that when at work I really don’t get to sit and enjoy the whole thing. This 12oz mug and is just enough to feel like I finished and enjoyed a cup of coffee. It is hand size ,pretty stylish and keeps my coffee warm and delicious. I like a small mug because I feel like it allows the right proportions of cream and coffee. They don’t seem to feel these online, so this special cup was purchased at Dunkin’ Donuts store.

I will continue to post a few more blogs like this to share some amazing products that may bring you joy too.
